Child Safeguarding Statement
Holycross AFC, in accordance with the FAI Rulebook, FAI Child Welfare and Safeguarding policy, and other FAI policies and procedures, is fully committed to the protection and welfare of children and young people who engage with our club. We prioritize the safety and well-being of every child by implementing clear guidelines and maintaining an environment where players, coaches, and volunteers can thrive without fear of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. This Child Safeguarding Statement is binding on all members and forms an essential part of our club’s core principles.
Our safeguarding procedures are compliant with Irish legislative requirements, including the Children First Act 2015. As a club, we ensure that all coaches, staff, and volunteers undergo Garda vetting, complete relevant safeguarding training, and adhere to best practices in child protection. We believe that safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and all members are expected to contribute to creating a safe space for young players.
